Flour

March 10, 2010

Working with it is a fucking nightmare.

I’m stupid

March 6, 2010

I went for a walk earlier today with Marika and I fell out of a spinning coffin of death in a playground. I slipped on the icy metal footrest and smashed my right calf muscle into a steel bar. It’s like having a permanent cramp in my leg and I have to hobble around, wincing in pain.

Fucking outdoors.

So here I am

February 25, 2010

Nothing much to report. I went back to Tallinn last week to see off Tim and meet some more of his family. I did a fantastic job of getting completely blind drunk and making a dick of myself. I don’t really remember any of it except that I was probably speaking way too much and being smug and offensive in a hard-to-detect-but-with-jovial-intent way.

I’ve been pouring out hours and hours watching The Wire and haven’t regretted a minute of it. Everyone should watch it. I’d heard about it before (and only heard good things) but never made the effort to check it out until recently. It’s so hard to stop watching. My eyes are becoming more red each day.

Poker is going alright, for all those that care. I’m getting better, I think. I still tend to go spastic and ruin my winnings on occasion but, meh. I’ve moved up to 10NL, finally. I hope to be comfortably floating around 20-25NL in May. I think I should be on target, assuming I can get enough hours in.

The Winter Olympics are on but I don’t give a toss. That’s about all I have to say for that.

I’m in dire need of a haircut. This is getting ridiculous. I’d take photos but I’ve put myself through enough shame in the past week.

I… am quite bored.

Join the Pirate Party for free and make it official!

February 12, 2010

I got an email today congratulating me for registering as a founding member for the Australian Pirate Party. Feels good. The second section of the email contained this:

We are gradually approaching the 500 members required to register as an official party  But the pace of new memberships has slowed recently. We are determined to be registered before a federal election is called.

So instead of dropping the price for new members, we thought it would be better for you to bring a friend for free! The free memberships are only for people who are referred by current members. There is no limit to how many people you bring, but the offer will not be available for long.

Forward on the application form [http://www.pirateparty.org.au/documents/Founding_Member_Application.pdf] to your friends inviting them for free. To allow us to verify, ask them to write your name near the bottom of the form and write “WAIVED” over the joining fee section.

So, any Australians reading this who actually give a shit about helping our country with regards to technology, feel free to join up and use my name as a reference.

I’m coming home

February 4, 2010

I just booked flights for Marika and myself.

I think my credit card ignited.

9am Tuesday 6th of July at Sydney airport. Who’s coming?

No one. I know…

Bad poker day

February 1, 2010

Getting my bum kicked all over the Internet. Sad. Bad beats and tilt are high fiving each other over me at the moment.

Marika is in Tallinn sending out spam letters. I’ve been eating a lot of meat. I cooked my own buckwheat for the first time ever tonight. The first time ever that wasn’t in a plastic bag, that is. I like how it came out. Nam.

Corey came to visit. Tim is going back to the UK. I’m not allowed to imbibe any alcohol for another week due to antibiotics. I don’t mind but I just received a bottle of Johnnie Walker Red as a birthday gift.

Yes, I’m getting close to 30. :(

Migration

January 22, 2010

Well, I decided not to renew my web hosting. I’m a tightarse.

Instead, I’ll be on WordPress.com with their restricted settings. :( I might move again, later.

www.redknob.net should be redirecting here within the next few days. I hope.

Enjoy the unchangeable blue colour scheme. :(

Hi

January 16, 2010

I had a very unspicy burrito last night.

The good news is, my girlfriend is cool. D’awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

New stuff

January 5, 2010

So, I’ve been back in the big smoke working at Viru for the past few weeks. Folding bedsheets is tranquil; going to Diletantide Avantgarde (or however it’s spelt) was bad this time, but we snuck in so it wasn’t extra disappointing; Christmas was fun and small but involved a lot of vodka and a visit from Santa; learning Estonian from my exercise book began well and is becoming more challenging; Avatar was pretty but boring; New Year’s was full of fish at a wedding and a late attempt to see fireworks; the last few days has seen my old faithful laptop of the last 3 years fall over on itself.

Now I have a new one.

I have a lot of shit to re-setup. Fun.

Activistism

December 16, 2009

Today I paid my membership fees to the Pirate Party of Australia and sent an email to Senator Conroy about the government’s proposed mandatory Internet filtering.

It feels good. Like I’m back in university but actually doing something apart from complain about asylum seekers being imprisoned.

I did a protest march through the streets once. It was pretty cool but kind of retarded. I don’t even remember what we were protesting about. Then again, that seems to be the standard university experience. Well, Sydney University anyway.

Today everyone is eating blood sausage and cabbage. I’ve opted out. I might try a Krooks burger later tonight. First I will need a shower and a good hard scrub under my arms.

Also, poker.
